Blessed Part 2

Now let’s look at the next word in verse 2 Peace, a word we all want, but seems to be escaping us in every area of life. The church, our government and economic is faced with many un-peaceful situations. Peace is like Grace it depends upon whom you believe rather you’re covered by grace and peace.

Terrorism has spread into all corners of the word and people are stressed beyond measure it seems in many areas. Only the Lord is able to allow us to live in a world of unrest and terror and yet be at peace. The battle is raging for mans souls, and we need to accept all the Lord has for us in this package of Salvation.

Barclay's Daily Study Bible comments In Greek the word for peace is eirene (<G1515>), but it translates the Hebrew word shalowm (<H7965>). In the Bible peace is never a purely negative word; it never describes simply the absence of trouble. Shalowm (<H7965>) means everything which makes for a man's highest good. Christian peace is something quite independent of outward circumstances. A man might live in ease and luxury and on the fat of the land, he might have the finest of houses and the biggest of bank accounts, and yet not have peace; on the other hand, a man might be starving in prison, or dying at the stake, or living a life from which all comfort had fled, and be at perfect peace. The explanation is that there is only one source of peace in all the world, and that is doing the will of God. When we are doing something which we know we ought not to do, or are evading something that we know we ought to do, there is always a haunting dispeace at the back of our minds; but if we are doing something very difficult, even something we do not want to do, so long as we know that it is the right thing there is a certain contentment in our hearts. "In his will is our peace”.

Blessed

In Ephesians chapter one, Paul lets us know who he is and says, I’m  Paul a learned Christian who calls himself an apostle; or follower of the Lord, one who knows what it is to abide in the Lord. His theme seems to be one of caring for the welfare of the body of Christ the Church, in all of his writings. He is addressing the saints which are at Ephesus, not only them, but to all saints throughout the world.

Saints are Christians that are committed to the Lord, disciplined in following the Lords will as they are faithful in obeying the Lords Word. That is one of many reasons we have been given the Bible, so we could understand as Christians, the importance of rules and the need to fulfill them.

It is as we abide in the Vine, Jesus Christ we have assurance of being accepted by our Lord. It then is not my way, or mans way; it becomes Gods way we are walking in. That is why it is a narrow way and not to may find it. Paul sees the importance of each Saint known by not only what they say, but what they do. Note, it is as we are faithful to the Lord; Christians stand out with a purpose different than any other of Gods creation. The world at times feels they are as good as some Christians and this prevents others from accepting the Lord. The world reason if that is what a Christian acts like I do not want to be one, for look at me I’m better. I hear this many times as I minister to those in jails and prisons, even from those I meet out on the streets.

John Bevere's Book Under Cover and my thoughts!

Subject: What is going on? We have studied John Bevere’s Book Under Cover and I know Authority is misunderstood today like never before. We are living in a very perplexing time of the Church, when people are being deceived like Matthew 24: 3-4 mentions. Many are denying the doctrines of their denominations, creation, fall of man, atonement, return of the Lord etc.

Many are saying, we are not living under the Law, it's now grace. Grace to do anything we want with no consequences; that is a trick of the enemy.
