Not only are Spiritual weapons required to reach our potential we need to understand we are fighting invisible foes. Ephesians 6:10-12 (NKJV) 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

It is not people we see, it is the spirit of people which cause us concern, for every one does not perform by obeying the Word of the Lord. It is not just who do you have faith in, but how strong is your faith? Only as individuals do we put on the whole armor. Someone else canít put on our garment, itís our faith and we canít give it away, without hurting our selves. God gives everyone faith the size of a mustard seed. One of the smallest of seeds, but seed grows as it germinates in our belief.

Everyone does not know the truth, so hurt themselves and others. Lord help us, to never put our confidence in men, but in God. It is the Lords might that gives us victory against the wiles of the devil.

Achieving Your Potential

Part 3

Each of us has an image that is important for we have to take owner ship of, our self-image and as a Christian it is a battle 24 hours a day spiritually.

The only way God has assured us of a good self image is reading the Bible, for He created us for His purpose. When we understand what we are reading and accept it has the way, the truth and the life, our self image is positive. But when we do not read the Bible and listen to what men and women are saying, our self image is negative. It is not by man wisdom we think will of ourselves, for we are all sinning and hiding from something.

I not only read the Bible, but I pray, that is talking to God and letting Him talk to me. Prayer is the life line to heavens throne and I never want to cut myself off. He is ready to listen to my hurts and problems at any time and I have to keep connected. Praying without ceasing is what the Bible calls it. Prayer is the way I can let the Lord know Iím human and need help in every area of my life. Adam talked with God in the Garden, Eve talk to the serpent, or the devil in all his glory. Who we are talking to determines our self image. That is the reason for someone having a mental problem at birth, but is still able to have the Joy of the Lord radiating in his life. Or having an accident and becoming paralyzed, yet through it all have a very positive self image.

That is the reason Joseph did not fall for the trick of Pharaohs wife and lay with her, but ran. Prayer keeps one sensitive to the voice of the Lord and allows us not to fall into a trap, which destroys our self-image.

Achieving Your Potential

Part 2

I'm sorry, I have not been able to get on line, but it is now fixed and I'm back so would like to continue the study of Achieving Your Potential.

We are living in a society that embraces humanism, which says, the subconscious doesnít know the difference between actual experiences and one vividly imagined. This causes us to not really understand the truth but believe a lie. Such as drinking is ok just do it moderately, just do not bother me and I will not bother you. Same with taking drugs it allows me to get closer to God, what a lie.

As Christians we are living in this world, but not embracing the things the world embraces. As you look at my notes to study on your own you can know what you believe. Itís not good enough to put your confidence in mans ability, we need to put our trust in Gods hands and let Him mold us into His image.

We do this as we look at the society we are living in and learn from our experiences. To experience doing things right is far more rewarding then doing them wrong.

A.      Notice worldly, carnal peopleís custom and sinful ways.
