We have been privileged to be with my wife’s side of the Family as her brother has a home at the beach by Pacific City, in Oregon. It was a time of rest, fun, & communicating about the future as a family with the thought of maybe losing a mother, grandmother and great grandmother one of these days. It makes one realize we all are going to die and no one really knows when. Life is in Gods hands and we trust Him to continue to bless us as we live for Him. So it is good to continue to share with Blessings from Ephesians the 1st Chapter. Let’s look at the 13th verse In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise. Are we trusting in the word of truth, or are we trusting man? It is Gods Gospel that allows us to believe for our salvation. Men can do a great job in presenting the Gospel today, as never before. We have more technology that makes things come alive, entertaining to our emotions making us feel good. It is not music, teaching and preaching that saves us, it’s believing in the Word of God, disciplining ourselves and obeying it. Then God blesses us with making sure we are sealed by the Blood of the Lord. Just as one buys something at a store it is sealed by a device that has to be put under a scanner and when we purchase the item they take off the scanner and it becomes ours, by giving a receipt of purchase. Then if you sell something to the Government, it is sealed until permission is granted by a representative of the Government to be sold. Here we are all created by God and we have a scanner on us, like the codes on all items to be sold in a store. When we give ourselves to the Lord he takes and scans us, washes away our sins and seals us as one of His Children apart of the Kingdom of God. The only one that can break that seal is you, by willful disobedience. What a blessing to know that God wants to seal all mankind, for He loves the whole world. But the question then become do we love Him and obey Him? Verse 14 really puts the final touch on the reason were blessed. Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. God wants us to know now while we are living in this present world there is much more in store, for now we just have a little of our inheritance. We are blessed just a little regardless of how wealthy one might be, or how poor you are. God saved us for eternity, that is the reason He went to the cross and purchased us with His Blood, and we do not get the praise, but God alone gets the praise.
My prayer is that all of the world would come to understand God Loves them, not only did He create us, but gave us a choice to chose who we would put our confidence in. Like Joshua I want to say, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” As we have studied Ephesians the first Chapter and looked around our world in which we live, it is great to see those who are blessed, in comparison to those that are serving Satan. My heart goes out to people that are not able to see, or hear what God is saying to the Church, in our world today. The Lord said, Behold I am coming again and we need to be in tune with our savior Jesus Christ. Let’s not cease to give God thanks for what He is doing in our lives and in our world. The United Nations food for oil, or oil for food, is turning people against authority. Seeing what happen when the hurricane hit America’s South Land, showed lawlessness in many areas. We are losing reasons to thank the Lord, but Joseph was able to say, thank you to his brothers, when they came to ask for bread. Paul and Silas while in jail where able to praise God, for preaching the Gospel of good news. Every day I go into the jails of Yakima, I see men and women that are able to praise the Lord for what He is doing in their lives. To see people come in thinking they are the cats meow (Rightous), is very hard to watch, for they soon are a disgrace to the Kingdom of God. But to see people come in, needing help, understanding they have missed out on the blessing of the Lord, and want to begin to become blessed, is a joy to behold. They are the ones who understand the need for help and are reaching out to God and God gives them a peace to where they are changed and want to live in the arms of the Lord, doing Gods will not theirs. To see people open their eyes and ears understanding the Scriptures is what we all need. God is still the answer as we accept His teaching. To see people addicted by alcohol, drugs, sexuality, money, fame or any other sin sit free, is a glories experience. For that is seeing the Power of the Lord to transform, restore, and redeem man from selfishness to Godliness. Jesus, others and you, is the way to spell joy. Isn’t that a blessing for it’s not only having understanding, and knowledge, but the wisdom to use what God has given us, common sense. That is under standing the exceeding greatness of His power, in the fact we need help. So when we believe, we then see the power of God manifested in our lives, according to the working of His mighty works in us as Saints. Did we not already see we are nothing and God is everything, which he wrought in His Son Jesus? We are seeing so many people controlled by the power of dictators in our world and in many Churches. The Spirit of the Nicolaitanes is very real in the Church today for they loved to do there thing, like the people who believed the doctrines of Balaam. Let’s be careful we understand God is far above all principality, power, might, dominion, every name that was named, not only in this world, but in that which is to come: He hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things for the Church; which is His body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all. Hallelujah. God is wonderful and His hands are outstretched still as we accept the Blessing of Ephesians as He has chosen us, predestinated us, made us acceptable, forgive us, gave us and inheritance, sealed us, purchased us, gave us wisdom and revelation, gave us hope, power, and a body to accept it all. So please allow yourself to accept all the Lord has in store for you, as you seek the thing of the Lord. |
